Android Pay which was launched in 2015 to power in-app purchases & tap-to-pay purchases finally bites the dust along with Google Wallet. Google Wallet which is released way back in 2011 allowing a peer to peer payment service to allow users to send & receive payment through mobile.
Google Wallet + Android Pay = Google Pay
Google announced this move at the beginning of the year & within 2 months they are now rolling out Google Pay in Playstore in few regions. Google pay sports a similar look of Android Pay with a ‘G’ logo on top & the functionalities remain the same.
The Home tab gives you a traditional materialistic design & info about recent purchases, access to rewards, nearby stores etc. While the second section will be cards with rewards/gifts.
Also, you will be getting few special offers from the merchant itself & also a reminder option to use that offer as soon you enter the store. The best feature of the app is that when you pay using Google Pay it doesn’t share the physical card details instead it uses an encrypted number instead of card details. By this even the store owner knows your pin, he can’t do anything about it.

This might work good in few countries but in India, they already launched Google Tez earlier & it’s gng good. It’s more like a competition to Samsung Pay. Google pay will be available to all the android devices with Android version 4.4+ ( KitKat ). It’s available only to few countries at present. You can try the app from below link.
