This Screen fingerprint sensor will use Photoelectric reflection when the fingerprint is identified, it detects the patterns & reflects the same with the emitter. Because of this photoelectric principle, this might be slightly slow when compared to the regular fingerprint sensor.
In CES 2018, when the company demonstrated this sensor they stated that the recognition speed is between 0.6 – 0.7 seconds with an error rate of 1/10000 th and apart from unlocking, this can be used to pay & other functions of the apps. The screen fingerprint sensor will be the only difference with it’s earlier version X20 Plus which features Android 7.1.2 with a 6.43-inch 18: 9 OLED display (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
The camera consists of 12 MP front camera for selfies & 12MP+5MP rear camera. There is another rumor that they can go with 24 MP one rather than 12 MP, so the camera part is not yet confirmed. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor with 4 GB RAM & 128 GB internal memory which is supported by a 3,800mAh non-removable battery with fast charging.
Reports suggest that the Vivo X20 Plus UD version will be priced at 3998 Yuan ( $625 ).
