Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of the upcoming smartphone ( Mi Mix 2S ) on March 27 which is powered by Snapdragon 845 Chipset. There are also rumors that Xiaomi will be launching Mi 7 flagship device by this June or December. Amidst all these a new device with the code name ” Dipper ” is spotted on Geekbench.
Last month, a Xiaomi device with a code name ” Berlin ” has been spotted on Geekbench with SD 632 Hexa Core & 3 GB RAM. These code names for the device are common for Xiaomi Mi-series, the predecessors Mi 6 ( Sagit ) & Mi 5 ( Gemini ) also had their code names before the launch. There is no confirmation that this new device will be Mi 7 but we can’t rule out of a potential possibility.
The Geekbench score reveals that the device will be running on latest Android version Oreo & will be powered by Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6 GB RAM. The performance score for this device is better than Mi 6. Xiaomi already announced it’s partnership with Qualcomm & they are working on optimizing SD 845 performance. It’s interesting to see how these optimizations will work out in practical use which will be tested on the upcoming launch of Mi Mix 2S this month.
